Jeannette landed in Charlottesville, Virginia from Ohio by way of Greece, South Africa and the Outer Banks. Growing up, she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel the world as a performance artist. As a result, she developed a love and appreciation for architecture and other cultures, while also experiencing her first taste of hands-on design by getting involved with her dance company’s set and costume fabrication. Though she graduated with a degree in Marine Biology, she quickly returned to her passion for design in the Spring of 2003. She has since worked as the in-house interior coordinator for a design-build firm, a designer for a design- import company and opened a tile and design showroom with a partner before heading out on her own in 2010 to start J.A.I.D Style. When she’s not daydreaming about creative solutions for her next fun project, you can find her enjoying all aspects of food, film, furniture refinishing and being a part of the Building Goodness Foundation.
